Kent Wang has a pair. He's considering committing to a RTW line. Mud gray, 175USD. I'm very happy with mine and need to get around to doing a write up/crowdsourcing for ideas for his possible pant line.

Anyway, returns are easy with him. Which can't be said for Yount

Just a personal observation, I have come to believe that medium gray trousers are a little more versatile than light gray. I find that, at least with my wardrobe, I often prefer a little darker of a gray with the dark jackets that frequent my rotation. Light gray provides too much contrast in many circumstances.

It's hard to say one is more or less versatile than the other (both are pretty darn versatile as far as these things go), but I actually find myself reaching for the light grey trousers more often than medium grey ones, even in a F/W context. When it comes to summery stuff, the lighter grey wins by a mile for me.

Keep in mind that I said it was more versatile with my own wardrobe, although I do not think mine is particularly unique in any way. I wear a lot of darker browns and greens, along with some blues. Darker jackets, other than perhaps navy, often do not warrant a gray as light as those HYs. I have that exact pair in fact and I reach for it less and less.

I have another consideration for preferring mid grey over light grey in most situations: I find that too much contrast between top and bottom cuts me in half visually. Not advantageous for a short guy like me...

^ Yeah. I think it comes down to taste and specifics of our wardrobe. It can definitely go either way. Just offering a different data point.

Hah. I'm short too. I've just stopped caring about those considerations (though I suppose anything that helps make an argument in favor of me buying a lot more suits cannot be all bad).

Agree with all that's been said--I prefer light gray with navy because it seems to bring out the blue-ness of it better, but medium gray works better with greens, browns, and olives.

Spier and mackay may also be an alternative, though never having tried yount, I can't speak to how they compare. I'm assuming they aren't in the same class given the price disparity, but I've been happy with my pair and the price is right as an entry level trouser.

Medium grey flannel only available in slim fit now and in only a few sizes.

So can someone explain the difference in Edios suits and Formosa suits? Are the Formosa suits completely hand made? As opposed to the Edios being partially made by machine and part by hand?
