^ I like that jacket a lot, RTC, and I'm with kulata--mid gray, light gray, fawn (!) would look great with this. If you want inspiration for combinations, UrbanComposition and Vox both featured a lot of tweed in that shade on their blogs this winter.

How's it fit?

It fits well enough for now, but damn this fabric is a carpet lol. A little slim cut for me and is a little tight on my arms with a very slight bit of bowing in the chest, but it's honestly fine.

It's got some cool details (pattern matched elbow patches/working cuffs/etc).

I honestly put it in the 'sell' pile because I was planning on gaining more weight, but I'm sitting at about 180 right now and I think I'm content being here or a little lighter so I don't think it's going to get much tighter.

I know everyone wants to tick the iGent boxes, but a lack of full canvassing wouldn't keep me from buying a suit if I liked it otherwise.

True. I prefer fully canvassed and I think its worth a slight up charge if you are getting MTM, but I'd happily buy something I liked that was half canvassed. I believe the Cantarelli sport coats from NMWA are half canvassed and they are lovely in person.

Green pin dot tie isn't out of place with a navy pinstripe suit, right?

Have a last minute interview and my nice suit won't fit. Thrifted this one a bit ago and it works well enough for government work. Still trying not to look awful though...

Blue shirt, oxblood cap toes, navy socks.

Camera is fine. Just haven't been wearing anything MC worth posting about.

Ok gents I have a question. My Fiance and I are throwing a party for our engagement. I bought a new suit which is a blue/blue grey suit. Its a gorgeous cloth and I will be wearing a white shirt with a eggplant colored tie. I dont wear black shoes as I cringe when I see black so what color shoe would you guys recommend? The suit doesnt photograph as blue or grey a bit of a hybrid of both. I am thinking of my dark brown Vass captoes but want to see what everyone opinion would be? I could upload a pic however its a **** photo as its hard to photograph.

Thanks!

Firstly, congratulations on your engagement. Best days work I ever was getting married to the Duchess over 25 years ago. I know it's hard to believe, 25 years!!

I'd wear something like

1000

1000
