Huh wouldn't moleskin and flannel work quite similarly to be paired with tweed jackets? Texture is similar too.

    Is this...

    ...too similar to this?

Top one is cashmere/silk, spring/summer weight. Bottom (which I already own) is cashmere/wool, autumn/winter weight. Both are Canali Exclusive, same cut.

    Thoughts?

Similar but not too similar IMO. Especially with the seasonal difference. This cut seems to fit you quite well, too.

If my monitor is to be believed looks like it's a different colour set to me. Looks much lighter too. Fits well, wears well so what's not to like :nodding:

I really like the top one - the brown shade is lovely.

J-Frat for a derby I'd go for their blind split-toe with the pie-crust apron (1st pic) It's a sublime shoe. I see you don't have any Norwegers - think the EG Dover - in your collection.

.. and u may enjoy a plain captoe oxford. A bit like pic 2, but without the brogueing. You've got variety, but IMO u could go for nicely finished shoes - EG, G&G or Lobb - or if you're a construction purist go for more Vass.

Avoid black- IMO u need one sleek pair of blacks and that's it. Unless u want to invest in StC's magnificent opera pumps (pic #3)

Both can work with tweed, but I would not really say they are similar. Moleskin is definitely more casual. They can certainly overlap, though.

Gorgeous shoes! I have already got a MTO order in for norwegers and I bought some gaziano girling plain captoe oxfords in black today. I already own some lovely opera pumps by Grenson :)

Ok I kopped. Only now will I reveal that I took advantage of a 75% discount. Last one on the rack, sale finishes tomorrow. Got lucky and no regrets.

Watch WAYWRN for summer gun club fitz, whoopee!

How about you stop buying shoes for a while and learn to work with what you've got? How many shoes are still in the mail/being made for you at the moment? 15 pairs?
