    @Cleave
    Nice...though I would hesitate on the whole cut. Should I?

    I like the idea of more suede. You reminded me, I actually do have a pair of dark brown suede chukkas. They are the AE Amok. I bought them at 10.5D as well, but they actually fit pretty nicely. I am sorry I forgot to list them among the assets!

    I'm not sure how to wear them, however. I don't recall seeing may chukkas in WAYWRN. Any tips?

    Thanks for the feedbacks everybody. I am reviewing all of it and will do so in even further depth tonight. Please keep these recs coming.

    It is a captoe, but it is a captoe blucher/derby. You want a captoe balmoral/oxford.

    So this is a bit inappropriate for CBD?

    Sorry for the diversion to follow. I need to make a confession, or just vent, or both, all this talk about ties and "staples" (WTH) really had me going. Threw out about 8 more (lost count; latest clean-out was only in December before) of my last decade editions (no pics, evaa). So far so good. But then I stumbled upon Henry Carter and Vanda. The rest I shall keep to myself. I hates you (all, not anyone in particular, will go away, I'm sure, just need to hide the arriving packages from the missus, gonna be difficult given ~10 on the way...).
    Nighty!

    Tweeds, as I said only my suggestions for a rounded rota,stable, collection to cover for all eventualities. I love a whole cut, but thats me. What's would make you hesitate? Great to hear your view my friend.

    It is certainly a bit frowned upon in the CBD world, more so in London than the US, but Washington being the political centre and all...I don't think I've seen a politician in derbies before...

    Rudals, Hober sells swatches and swatch sets for very cheap. By the time a swatch is photographed, the photograph is retouched to get what appears to be a more accurate version of the color to David, put on his website and appears on your monitor, things can change. If you expect to get a lot of grenadines, buy a swatch set. If you want to see how a variety of things look, just count the number of swatches you need and order them. Better to spend $0.50 on a swatch than $80+ on a tie.

    This would be my basic 5 shoe selection (total value €1060, or €212 per shoe):

    The tasskes can be substituted for normal suede/leather loafers, and for the UK I'd substitute the dark brown captoes for black ones in a different last/style (perhaps adelaides):

    I generally wear my suede balmorals with flannels and an odd jacket (see below for a Carmina example). I do not have suede chukka's, but have always liked how they look with jeans.

    Doodals, for me the top one, if that is the one you're calling sage, is more on the green side of the colour spectrum. The second one is grey to my eye and my screen. Whether it is dark grey or not is another matter. It is relative to how the vendor and their marketing peeps see it and or want to differentiate it from other ties on their site.

    First, more green, second grey.
