I'm just posting this here because I don't have full length and I want an opinion on the ensemble.

Jacket is Brioni and pocket square is Liberty - everything else is thrift or old.

Indeed she is. Don't know if she already knows about this, or whether she's interested, but I'll pass it on. Thanks for the tip! [IMG]

I think that's pretty solid in this sense: navy/blue jacket, burnt orange/rust tie, cream square over blue shirt. Hard to quibble about that, IMO.

The bee is distracting though (is that what it is?), a bit too cute, but YMMV. I'm not so sure about the coat pattern either.

Haha it is a bee - I have a very big thing for bee motifs.

I grabbed all I could that didn't have runs, with plans to sell them. But then I figured, when am I ever going to get 3 Drake's ties for less than $100 CAD? So I kept them all.

Hey guys - next week I am taking a trip to Auckland to the tailor to get some odd trousers and an odd jacket made. These will be the template for future luxire orders.

Please tell me EXACTLY what I should be getting from him (if possible).

I presume your will advise me to get light grey trousers to start with but I could be wrong :)

So - what colors, patterns, fabrics, and styling options should I be going for?

Your pants seem to fit fairly well in your pictures and the cut is nice for your build....so stick with that.

As for the fabric, depends which season you want to wear them in. Light/mid grey is the obvious color choice for the odd trousers. For S/S, I really like fresco and light hopsacks. if you want something you can wear three seasons, I'd go with a light/mid weight flannel. Lambswool or something with a nice texture is what I would recommend.

Options: cuff height is personal preference and also depends on your height. I'm 6'3" and have 1.75", but could easily wear 2". I don't like 1.5" at all. I prefer button fly and lined to the knee. Belt loops, side adjusters, or brace buttons all depend on your preference.

What happened with the Kent Wang plan? Though there isn't anything wrong with having multiple tailors. I had two I was going to for a while.

Nothing - I got my suit yesterday and sent off the photos today :) I plan to see what results from both. If the Kent Wang excels I will use him exclusively for everything. I have already picked out some fabrics I love.

What do you think of the blue with red check (second from top in the middle row) here for a jacket:

Beyond amazing. But I also own

so take that with a grain of salt. Linen+blue+windowpane, I'll drool over anything you put in front of me.

    5984 is also really nice.

I was just going through my list of fits from here that I love - to take to the tailor next week; this jacket of yours is one of the ones I chose :) I love it. Is that a Kent Wang?

I'm not a fan (that means: DON'T DO IT! [IMG]) Too loud and too limiting, IMO. From the middle row I like the bottom two: T107228 & T107229.
The right column: T107234, T107235 and if you don't own a proper solid dark blue/navy jacket yest, I'd go for T107239 or T107240.
The ones on the left don't appeal to me at all...
