I think I've seen a portable sewing machine that looks like a stapler. Maybe I should fold up my pants and just have at it with that gadget.

Just order from Vanda. Or check Hober. He's always great.

Lol, make sure to post the results if you do! Actually, I have a sewing machine available. But I prefer to do it by hand. We're all looking for hand made garments after all, aren't we?

Save your $$ for another Formosa and just use a plain ol' stapler. Quick AND frugal

That's a houndstooth pattern rather than shepherd's check. I like both.

Dude if you mean the shop at 7th and Pennsylvania SE how did you walk there that took you away from "civilized areas", unless you mean that the evidence of extreme wealth concentration presented by all of the multi-million dollar rowhomes is something that decent societies would not tolerate?

If it is the same, btw, then I've used this shop before (I lived in Lincoln Park for 10 years) and I would trust Mr. Lee with hemming trousers, but probably not much beyond that.

Suit Supply Navy Napoli cut suit arrived yesterday, everything seems to fit well. I think I need the cuffs taken up a 1/2" and the pants need to be taken up a few inches (maybe with 1.75" cuffs?). Not sure why I am tilted like that, 22 years in the National Guard should have taught me to stand up straight [IMG]

    Where to? Don't leave Boston!

I am at a conference now and I am quite underdressed. I saw business casual so no tie and no jacket. But everyone is in a freaking suit.

"Business casual" is a trap. Best roll that burgundy tie out tomorrow to re-assert yourself.

Business casual is such crap. Some people wear "dressy jeans" whatever the f*k that is and a polo. Some people wear a trousers and a blazer.

I remember when my former employer banned jeans from "business casual" - people almost shit themselves with fury.
