The pants, shoes, and tie all go together. Very casual. That shirt, however, screams "banker," and a double breasted jacket with that much structure--trip patch aside--is similarly very business.

    Wool trousers.

    Wool.

    Trousers.

Love the tie and will be following your lead on a rough Thai silk when spring hits here in the States, jfrater. I think the biggest incongruity here is between the jacket and the shoes. Clags wants you to keep the shoes and change the jacket, but I think this isn't a terrible fit if you put on some lighter brown bluchers or monks and tropical wool trousers, either.

For what it's worth, I love the idea of patch pockets with a double-breasted jacket, but Clags is right--this one's inconsistent in its formal/casual elements. There's an Eidos in the B&S thread that to my mind gets a bit closer to consistency.

I think I have 16. Two are on one bar, but I am sure you can't see that. Plus two more that I won't get tailored for a while since they won't be worn till summer. Plus some denim. Regardless, I am not superstitious.

I don't think it is available anywhere. I have one and can post a pic of it later.

Thanks. I'm obviously a bit shorter as I go 52" for length but like the 3.5" width as well. I've tended to get my non-grenadines from Hober in 6-folds, but that one looks pretty darn good with 4.

I think Claghorn should be a professional fashion consultant.

I don't like the pockets on the jacket, @jfrater . But that's a personal taste.
I think a SB jacket would have been better a combo with the rest of your outfit.

A solid shirt would have made this perfect to me.

That's still a pretty formal jacket with the shoes. For me the jacket you wore yesterday is a better match for shoes like you're wearing today. Keep in mind that I'm just giving opinions here; you shouldn't dress to placate my preferences or anyone else's.

The shirt is textured - white on white - I have a very limited supply of solids right now - more coming in the mail!

Okay back to shirts. I am about to place a big order so I need your help:

    1. What fabric/weave should I be choosing for shirts to go with suits or jackets (always with a tie)
    2. How many shades of solid blue should I get and how many solid whites should I get?
    3. how many and what color stripes should I get (size wise - do I want pencil stripes, butcher stripes, etc?)

I won't bother with anything else in terms of patterns as I obviously already have a million :)

If you hold off for a few hours, I'll make a list of the first ten I'd getting, using Luxire as a source for images.
