1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

There's a discussion upthread on this topic in which a number of people, including sugarbutch, discuss the one-button odd jacket; it began with me posting a photo of a Huntsman jacket. Early July of last year.

    Cheers,

Yes, growing up in the northeast for me the bit loafer conjures up images of summer in the Hamptons, Bermuda shorts, and bleeding Madras short-sleeve shirts. Not that I ever spent my summers in the Hamptons, mind.

I bought this Gucci for the two tone. I am glad it doesnt have a huge Gucci metal emblem.

Huh. Perhaps this is where the bit loafer is most useful. It allows one to say things like “Well, it could have been worse. At least it’s not a bit loafer.” [IMG]

There's something weird and green coming out of Don's crotch.

Lol, I didn't even notice that. I assume someone with a poor sense of humour did an even poorer Photoshop job.

You know you could have accomplished this on your own with some wax and a free afternoon, right?

Was it on this threak or maybe WAYWRN that someone posted a link to a reliable proxy remailer for the EU, a few weeks back?

Unfortunately I didn't note it down at the time. Did anyone else?

Edit: found it. SF poster @VincentVogan , but he had to close his operation down due to customs/export issues.

Ah well... seems governments the world over are colluding to ensure that companies can continue to merrily price-gouge us Aussies.

I chose a single button not for formality but out of a desire to reduce the elements to minimum. There will be a single cuff button as well. If I don't like it, I can always have him add a second button. :)

I think it's the angle. From head on, it doesn't look like that. And, Elio, they aren't as closed as they appear, but probably not as open as you might prefer.

I think it looks pretty good overall, if not as expressive as cuts from other makers. For this first jacket, I basically let him do what he does. I might change some things if I do more with him, but it fits cleanly and I'm looking forward to getting the finished jacket next week. I might even have him make me some pants from the same fabric for the full monte. :D

It's not Spoon. I haven't asked him if he wants to be the subject of internet discussion, so I hope you don't mind if I keep that to myself.

I realize that my preference for very open quarters may be too exaggerated for some. Main thing is that it doesn't indicate a problem with the front balance, which you say is ok.
And some smart thinking about the buttons, there! [IMG]
If I were you I would definitely have trousers made, jacket looks like a prime candidate for a blazer suit. I'm looking forward to see the results soon on WAYWRN!

Edit: do you have a pic of the back? Would be interesting to see that.

The only picture is with pins in for the waist adjustment, so not a great picture.

    Any objection to this noodling?
Will it be fine with my CBD?
Or does it overlap with Hallam?

Remind me what you have at the moment? 2 navy suits and one grey one, and one black cap toe and one dark brown one?

Your shoes consistently don't seem to fit.
