All of my MTM shirts have convertible cuffs. I can either wear them as a normal barrel cuff, or as a single cuff with cufflinks. I quite like the versatility, although I mostly opt for the barrel option these days.

Not quite true anymore. I had Luxire make a shirt with the denim/canvas fabric with double-button cuff. Good thing, too, because a French cuff in that fabric would have been like wearing handcuffs.

These are the links I wear most frequently:

I've settled on "fixed" links for the most part. I don't like those with actual chain links between. I have some with the folding back, some better than others.

When I'm feeling barrel-y, I use these to fashion the equivalent of a convertible cuff:

    They could stand a polishing...

Okay - suit day today. How is this combo? Is the shirt solid enough?

Solid enough, but the shirt doesn't work with that tie, IMO: the blues are too similar.

I'm not a big fan of saturated shirts.

Yep - with a very faint blue check.

It's actually a bit lighter than the photo but prob still too saturated for your liking :)

    O hai gaiz

As far as burgundy/dark red ties go, I like how they can "warm" up an outfit, and they play well with brown shoes (of which I have...probably too many). Similarly, I find that I if I pull out a brown tie I go for burgundy shoes. It's not always this way, but more often than not. Strangely, I get many comments on brown ties along the lines of "oh, wow, a brown tie. Never seen one of those."

@jfrater, a lighter blue and less saturated shirt would be a lot better IMO. I do like the charcoal suit, lighter blue shirt and midnight blue tie with stripes idea a lot, though.

Co-signing this one Clags. Not to mention 'pents'. Interesting to ponder the psychology behind the sheepish nature of people who jump on these bandwagons.
