I swear by heat-tech. Couldn't have survived Seoul without it.

I've started wearing them and they are great. Firstly I obviously think there's nothing wrong with having butt hugging skin tight things on me to make me look sexier in the off chance I find myself naked, but even for most other people, it's not like they're going to strip down very often so I don't see how it matters that it's a bit effeminate.

I also like that it stops sweat from getting onto my clothes because going between in and outdoors I sometimes find myself dressed too warmly when I entered a heated building and sweat. Most of us don't have trousers that we wash very often, so this seems wise.

I think a light tie like that only works with a white shirt. It kinda blends in with the light blue shirt atm. The coat/hanky look good from what I can see.

Tie question, Noodlers: help me pick one of these three. You know what I wear--navy about half the time, olive/brown/green jackets the rest.

Option 1: Burgundy grenadine. Don't have one of these yet; seems the obvious choice. Only cons are that these are almost always available from Hober et al, and I'm deep in grenadines in other colors.



Option 2: This Calabrese brown neat. I love the color; can this be worn with more country fits as well as more conservative business dress fall/winter stuff?



Option 3: Burgundy Neat from Bigi Cravatte Milano. Don't have anything remotely like this in my wardrobe, and the pattern looks great. Concern as above is versatility; can I wear a neat with a loud flannel check?

As an aside, neats are more generally paired with suits than odd jackets are they not? Or is it just me?

Helden - I say 1, then 3, then 2. Burgundy grenadine is a core staple and the burgundy / dark red neat will go nicely with suits and navy blazers. I really like the brown tie, but it just doesn't seem as useful for what you wear.

I have a strong dislike for solid burgundy ties.

I have the blue version of that Bigi neat, it's great. Wouldn't work how you suggested though.
