I second the navy birdseye suggestion (or third? fourth?).

Personally, I have a conservative interview suit that I wear pretty much exclusively for interviews. It is conservatively cut, but is flattering enough. And for good measure, I wear it with my black fifth avenues. Then again, I work in an extremely conservative industry.

I wish I had that Formosa Sharkskin.

That Formosa sharkskin is awesome. I wore it at least once a week all last year (except for Jul/Aug)

    Thanks a bunch!
B&Tailor? I would have to submit for approval to my wife and her dad.

I am kind of surprised that you are recommending no PS. I was thinking a TV fold white linen PS.

Thanks again. We'll see if I am good enough to jump the ladder.

I don't think a white linen pocket square will kill you, but I tend to go very CBD when I interview and not wear anything that could be seen as out of the ordinary.

Also, don't worry about wearing a suit that looks good on you. That's silly. Something with a distinct pattern like the POW will get attention, but a navy birdseye that looks awesome on you will not get any negative attention.

Mostly out of curiosity, but also relevant to the current question, what percentage of men in your business wear pocket squares?

    Cheers,

I've yet to see others in my building donning a PS.
This crowd has never heard of Zegna and all they know is JoS.A.Banks. I am in no way disrespecting them, but they all have different priorities/hobbies/interests.

You're fine wearing the PoW suit for a phone interview BTW.

I should ask them what their dress code is. I am turning them down if they say casual or business casual.

Thanks for the tip - if the ones they send don't fit perfectly I will do that :)

I assumed he meant to be joking, but in reality, I could see him making that mistake, lawlz.

Okay - how is this combination? It's a three piece Isaia suit that got a LOT of flack the first time I posted it because of all the patterns etc.

Not a huge fan of the square, but everything else looks good to me.
