1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I remember that in stitches got recognized in real life by someone who'd seen his photos online. There was discussion on the then-current WAYWRN thread at the time.

    Cheers,

Isn't something purchased at present cost for the potential of future utility an asset? :p

I don't sew the point of happy hours for me now that I don't drink. Was drinking diet coke while others drank beer. I just remineced when I used to chug beer after beer.

I don't drink either, and find no joy in sitting around watching coworkers get hammered.

Why did you stop drinking? I have coworkers that don't drink due to religious reasons and they always seem to be having fun during events where others drink. I guess it's all about your mindset.

I cut back drinking as well last year, but I never was a big drinker to begin with. Instead of having 5 cheap drinks on a night out I now have 2 expensive drinks that I really enjoy. Nothing wrong with enjoying alcohol in moderation, as long as you're able to control yourself/don't have any addiction issues. Guess that goes for everything.

I'm afraid this very thread is the cause of 'addiction issues' to some folks around here. ;)

Haha, sure thing. All this talk about second hand suits being pissed in might have cured some of the addictions

I don't drink, I still go to and enjoy occasions where others drink. But I do find that I tend to go home a little earlier. Not early, just earlier. When I drank I was usually the last to realise the lights were on and the security guys were looking at me anxiously...

Think this thread would still be going on if he could do this lol.

I know you quit drinking so this isn't a comment for you to start again.

I've found that i end up drinking a couple of drinks more than i want to when i go out sometimes just because i have a beer in front of me and I'm thirsty. I've started making sure i get some water in there too and have been keeping better track of what i actually end up drinking as well.

And like money face, i often drink cocktails or whiskey on the rocks so i slow down a bunch.

I was recognized one time standing outside of New York Penn Station and another time in a synagogue in Toronto. True stories.

The why: I cannot control my drinking and it was harming me. Moreover, I wanted to be a responsible husband to my wife by staying alive. And I stopped for religious reason as well. "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery." (Ephesians 5:18).

Shoot, people have expectations when you come from a family that has had 3 generations of ministers.

All he'd have to do is drag that trashed leather chair into the streets and give those rioters that thousand yard stare while wearing his grey DB and black hat.
