Ok - after the comments here I have ordered my first pair of grey pants from luxire based on measurements from a pair of attolini pants I have. If it goes well I'll get more from there :)

Question: most of my shirts have patterns of some kind. What can I count as a solid so I can have more variety in my shirt wearing?

I highly recommend sending them your pants and not measuring on your own.

Are they? Many are USA made I thought (Hertling?). I suspect they will be slim tho.

Why not Epaulet, Noodles? You can return.

Only order one pair for now as you are going off measurements. If you can, for the next pair, send in a pair of pants that fits you well for them to duplicate, as Murl said.

For the most part, herringbones, very small graph checks, and very tight micro stripes, are essentially solids. Outside of that, not so much.

    ---

Iso, with that check SC, swap the khakis for nice light gray trousers and you are good to go.

A big plus 1 to this. Some of the worst Luxire results have been people sending in their own measurements.

If Epaulet fits your build, its a great pant. Construction is good, fabric is good, company is good. Damn I wish I fit in their pants better.
