Have you thought about KW MTM? One of the things I had on my shopping plan for this year was a blazersuit from him in Navy Hopsack and then some gray flannel pants from HY like you posted or luxuire.

Seems like I was somewhat on the right track seeing Murls choice :)

Just some thoughts from a noob so not even worth 2 cents.

Calm down, spaz. It's actually a nice looking jacket for HB...and much more versatile than many might think. It will sell eventually, by this is SF....post the flippin' measurements.

    The heck?!
The light gray looks like white and mid gray looks like what I would call light gray.
    Anyone care to chime in?

    JFrat,

For pants, I love Yount. But I already know my sizes, and it can be difficult to return if the pants don't fit.

You might want to check out Luxire. A number of people have had a lot of success sending their best fitting pants to them and having them replicate it. That might be the best route for you at the moment.

    Noodles,
All those look amazing. I'd skip the second, but you wouldn't be going wrong with any of the other three.

I feel like JFrat could have been my nickname in undergrad.

I too would be reticent to order from HY. I have had success in returning, and purchasing. But if you read the thread, you will see that many, of late, have not...

You're not going to believe this, Noodles, but I have the HY in light gray flannel and mid-gray 11 oz. twill, both in the USA cut. Obviously I prefer fuller cut trousers than you do, but the USA is plenty tapered if you have any meat on your bones. I'll wear them later this week to give you visual confirmation that I'm not pulling your leg.

As for colors, you're right--they are pretty light in person. If you had shown me my "mid-gray" pants, I would have called them light gray, and my light gray flannels are much lighter in color than the trousers I'm wearing today.

Bottom line: none of the options you posted are bad ones; choose your favorite!

I think HY is the better option when my only alternative is to go back to RLBL $500 wool pants. Ridiculous where I would spend my money.
