Also curious about who makes that navy overcoat. It's nice!

This is wonderful. Get this made into a suit, Noodles (BnT). You'll have another awesome suit and your first SC in one shot.

Kulata, that 44 napoli looks pretty good, especially given that you're wearing a sweater.

Kulata -- the larger La Spalla looks great. The Napoli looks just a little too slim, to my eye. Think a chest that clean looks better with a little less emphasis on the waist and a little more room around the hips.

Or I'm just seeing lens distortion.

Kulata, actually all those suit jackets looked good on you. I see no evidence of tightness in the second jacket, but I imagine it "felt" tight around the midriff. The main problem with that jacket is visual - the vertical pinstripes which accentuate your slightly top-heavy torso.

I liked the other two. But...gotta be careful with the SuSu La Spalla - they don't always get the waterfall shoulder right. Here's the one I purchased from the Shanghai store -

As you can see, very asymmetrical, and the right shoulder just had way too uneven a gather. This is not a one-off...I was back in the SuSu Shanghai store last week and saw another La Spalla with even worse problems.

I believe most of their suits are made in China, a place where quality control issues are ever-present. I ended up getting my alterations tailor to fix my own suit. Cost a fair bit. I could have taken the suit back to the Shanghai store but I figured it was too much trouble with no guarantee of a satisfactory outcome. At least my own guy did a good job. I now love my La Spalla.

I won't be buying any suits at SuSu, the pants just don't fit me. I have to take in 4 inches from the waist of the us44 napoli pants and 6 inches from the US46 La Spalla. Sleeves on the la Spalla are way too long and those suits come with surgeon cuffs!
The us44 la Spalla was bowing at the chest and it felt uncomfortable around my armpits, upper back and arms.

That sweater is paper thin so it doesn't really change the fit and besides I haven't even lifted weights or done any body weight exercises in 3 weeks, so I am slightly bigger on a normal day.

Sent a bunch of PM's, but since I'm on the fence (unsure of the sizes) I might as well share the link to the shop where I found the coat it's a Swedish shop called Spiga 3:

    http://www.spiga3.se/en/clothing/outerwear/

They've got a really good sale going right now, with a lot of high quality Italian brands.

Sounds like a good plan. I am putting a stop to suit kopp'n and will focus on getting 1 or 2 nice SC. I have been lurking on b&tailor's website a lot lately. I really want a suit from them as well.

If I were you with the opportunity, I'd get a full suit from BnTailor which means they can be making you nice fitting odd pants in the future.

A BlazerSuitTM is the answer for noodles. Navy flannel, patchpockets and brown buttons.

    Like this advice MF.

Doodals, gives you so much room for manoeuvre. Yes, there are other options but this is a good path :nodding:
