@The Noodles , their stuff is really very good for staples. Those are workhorse suits.

I have combined the 15% corporate discount with other discounts before. I purchased nice warm socks and they were on sale and I was able to use the 15% on top of the sale. The SA initially told me that I couldn't when a manager vehemently told the SA that corporate discounts can be combined with other discounts. So, I have had a different experience.

I could never find anything both good and good fitting.

BTW, are you all's screens squeezed by ads on the sides???

You were lucky in that instance. As a rule, they do not stack.

If you are hoping to equate bb fit and drape with something like formosa, then you'll be disappointed, but you'll find stuff far better fitting than the zegna stuff you had.

Don't quit your day job for comedy.

I have been to a BB store couple times but could not find something that fit me well.
Zegna is weird. I only see slim suits at NM and Zegna boutique store near me.

I mean, you have a SuSu near you so it's a moot point.

I walked into my first Suit Supply the other day. They've lowered the buttoning points on the Havana considerably, and it fits me well enough that I may consider three jackets from them over a single jacket from B&T. I just wish the lapels were a bit wider.

Also, all the sales associates looked like caricatures of the SS models online. It was sort of sad.

I was just in the Seattle one for the first time over the weekend and tried on the wheat-colored Havana jacket and thought I fit quite well off the rack.

How much narrower would you say the lapels are vs. Howard Yount's or B&T? I thought they were pretty close and the jacket length was about perfect for me.

They look quite a bit shorter on the models on the website, likely because they are quite tall.

I think the trousers are probably cut too narrowly for me and the drop for the suits is probably not enough for me.

Could I get some good natured advice on these suit fits. I'm still trying to learn what looks good on me. I'm back in the US from North Africa for a wedding so I took the opportunity to visit BB and Suit Supply.

Do any of these Suit Jackets / SC look worthy of pursuing further? I'm working on building up my staples

    38R BB Madison
    [IMG]

    38R BB Fitzgerald
    [IMG]

    38R SuSu Napoli

    38R SuSu York

Assuming 38R is my right jacket size The York and Napoli are the only SuSu supply suits I can wear without going MTM because of the pants. There is not enough material in the others for my backside and quads.

This is not a staple but it's on sale for $200 and thought it might be worth it? Thoughts on this BB Fitzgerald SC?

SS fits you better than BB. Pick up the BB for 200 as long as that expense doesn't interfere with you buying staples.

    ---
Lapel width of SS is about the same for those of Yount.

mdancel, I'm willing to bet that a 39 BB will fit you better than the 38, which seems to pull at the shoulders a bit. I've had better luck buying Madison/Regent and pulling in the waist than in buying Fitzgeralds, since the cut of the Fitz is slim but boxy. Your mileage may vary.

Suitsupply looks really good to me.

The associate who kept pestering me at the Suit Supply I visited in NYC was an attractive woman. It was not sad. But she was annoying.
