I would wipe my arse with it!
I'm getting a casual suit made in that fabric this year.
After black cap toe, black wingtips? Yea or nay?
Admittedly, the only fit I can think of using these for is with dark gray odd trousers, which I own and do with northern lights (sorry Stitch )
Edit: I should mention that I'm thinking of bluchers, not oxfords.
Prefer black monks here or brown oxfords.
@TweedyProf , dark gray pants are a great opportunity to wear burgundy shell wingtips or longwings, especially with an odd jacket fit.
In calf, I would go with Carmina's burgundy calf split toes on the Simpson last (see below):
Fit, I do not know if it will.
I've looked at the EIDOS P.o.W suit but I like the Formosa one better. Oh how I wish they would have it in stock.
Opinions on the tie? I am thinking of grabbing it for my father in-law.
The Eidos PoW is pretty awesome, just depends on if you like the fit. They have a couple other PoW patterns in their fabric books that are really nice as well.
re: BB, with your discount, could be a good option for casual stuff like sweaters or pants if the fit works well. Received a BB sweater as an early xmas gift and it fit me surprisingly well. I assumed I would return it, but it is a keeper.
BB pants, sweaters, outerwear, etc. are all great.
I think their suits are awesome too if you can find a fit that works well for you with minimal tailoring.
@The Noodles It may be worth waiting for a 30% brooks card discount day or the 40% off after Christmas sale. Both events have stacked with 15% corporate discount before.
Yes, one good thing about BB is that they let you use the corp 15% discount on top of whatever sale they have.
It's been a while since I've done it, but I recall the 15% corporate stacking with whatever promotion they were running. I think tailored clothing makes it to 30% off a few times a year.
Regarding BB, the 15% corporate does not stack with other discounts. So, if tailored clothing is 30% off this week, that is the entire discount. The best discount is the December 26th sale when items are 30-40% off with an additional 15-20% off for purchases that day. The problem with waiting, though, is that BB has seriously lowered its inventory levels over the past few years to the point where the more popular items are out of stock by then. If it get a sport coat, I'll stop by this week to get it, rather than wait until December 26th.
