I'm slowly trying to build up my wardrobe as i have to wear suits way more often. Anyway, i have buddy who knows a guy that gets JOS A Bank suits that have been returned for one reason or another. My buddy was hanging on to these 2 suits at his house for 2 months and wanted to get rid of them(someone had ordered them then backed out). So he swung by my house last night and showed me the suits because they were both in my size (40R). One is a light tan Tropical blend suit(probably should be worn in the summer though) and the other is a Signature Gold dark gray wool suit. I bought both from him for $80 a piece ($160) total. Both suits still have the the brand new tags on them and are unaltered. Was this a good deal, because i know nothing about JOS A Bank suits or the quality i got?

Thanks for the help.

Price is good. JAB quality and fit is another matter, though.

I have no personal experience with JOS A Bank suits, they don't get much love on here though.

If they fit you (with at least minimal alterations that don't break the bank) then I guess $80 for a suit is a great deal.. I have spent more than that on stuff that just sits in my wardrobe doing nothing.

If 40R is REALLY your side, then that's a good deal. $80 for a dark grey Signature Gold is great. Post pictures of yourself wearing them for fit critiques.
