I haven't cut my hair since moving to NY a few months ago and I think I'm due for a light trim on the sides and back, but I want to keep growing it out overall.

Does anyone on here with long hair have any recommendations for any good barbers/stylists in NY who specialize in working with guys with long hair or who are growing out their hair?? I've kind of got the Matt Bomer wavy look going on right now and I don't really want anyone to screw it up or chop off too much. None of my friends have long hair and they typically just go to any old barber shop, but I'm looking for someone to go to consistently who can work with me.

    Thanks for any recommendations.

Check Yelp, they're pretty good when it comes to hair salons. Bring in a picture with you of your desired cut.

Saori at Salon Seven is pretty good, I've been going to her for ~10 years at this point.

Martial Vivot if you want to go extremely high end.

If you're on a budget, try Onyx & Jade. I just went there last week, had an amazing cut. Roma knows what he's doing.

If you book through dealbooker it's only $28 for: a hair cut, shoe polish, manicure, and don't forget the complimentary drink they give you from their bar.
