Good Barber Around Denver/Boulder?

Anyone know of a good place for guys to get their haircuts around Denver or preferably Boulder? I am not looking to spend a ton, but I am sick of putting my head to the mercy of the daily Sport Clips/Great Clips special. I think my current success rate with them is about 40%, but lately they have gotten really inconsistent. I want a place that I can go back to for a couple of years.

I usually just go to Chaz Salon, which is at 28th and Iris. I have a ladie in there who keeps up to date on new trends and the good hair cuts, so I can go in there half mumbling about what I want, and it comes out exactly how I want it. Her name is Courtney, if you want to ask for her specifically.

Ok well I ended up going to Al's Barbershop in Boulder. The cut was really good...not sure if I can justify spending that much each time I go. Ended up being $42 with the tip (my eyes were saucers when I heard the price), probably one of the best haircuts I've had in a long time though.

Anyone know of some cheaper but good alternatives in the area?

Kind of an old thread, but I figured I can contribute so. . .

I've gone to "Luxe a Salon" on Wazee in downtown Denver a few times and have not been disappointed. I would recommend George. Once you start paying about $40 for a haircut it's difficult to go back to cheaper salons.

I wanted to bump up this topic. I just recently moved to Denver. I've been going to Gentleman's Quarters on Hampden, but I'm not a huge fan for the price and what I'm getting. Any recommendations?

Rock Barbers in Louisville is great if you don't mind driving a little bit.

Ehh. Too far for me. I'm pretty close to DU, south of downtown.
