I love the prep-style of the golfers. Who do you think is the best dressed golfer in this year's Masters/ Tiger's NIKE is a bit garish...

In person, Steve elkington and Rocco Mediate are quite stylish.
I have mixed feelings about the more athletic slant the clothes /shoes have taken in the last few years.
I'm biased toward some of the flair for the old guys like Snead, Hogan, etc. late 50's early 60's
I do think that Tiger's frame appears to have bulked up a little and he pulls off the more athletic outfit better than most.
But there is a huge lack of stylishness currently. I miss someone like Payne Stewart out there. These guys are good enough at the game, they could put a little more panache into their wardrobe.
Just my opinion.

Not to denigrate his memory but I was never a big fan of Payne Stewart in his clothing or attitude. It seems that he had mellowed by the time he won the U.S. Open in '99, but I saw him play in person many times before that and he was really kind of a jerk to spectators and tournament officials.

As for current players, I do like Tiger's Nike styles and I think Phil always looks good. Justin Leonard has always looked good, but his game has really gone downhill lately and he seems to have dropped out of sight.

I'm not a fan of the direction Nike's stuff has taken as well. I like the functionality and patterns of them, but the patterns are often attrocious. The TW line is of pretty good quality but I hardly see anything I really like, and a lot I would be embarrassed to wear in public.

I think buying quality polos and pants that are cut appropriately for golf (i.e. don't restrict any movement) is the best way to do it. Unfortunately because golfers are sponsored by golf companies they end up wearing their apparel (Ahead, Nike, Footjoy, Cutter & Buck, Adidas, etc.) and that stuff is often pretty terrible.

I do like Polo's golf-oriented stuff, i.e. light blue shorts or pants and a plain white Polo shirt (even with the pony). If you ask me the best dressed golfer is probably Luke Donald, if you remove all of the logos. At least he wears the correct size.

Jesper Parnevik -- haven't paid much attention to golf lately, but in the 90s he was wearing super slim fit pants and shirts (when everyone else was super-baggy).

I saw him at a practice round of the '97 masters wearing slim white pants and a chocolate brown shirt. My friend and I named him "Mr. Cigarette Pants".

Henrick Stensen I think is his name; I think Fannie is his caddie; anyways he is sponsored by Hugo Boss golf(if memory serves me correctly); to me they have the best clothes; with Adam Scott and burberry a very very close runner up
