Golden Eagle suits?

Greetings. I thrifted this charcoal suit a few months ago. It fit well right off the rack, pants and everything. I dry cleaned it and have been wearing it to work, etc ever since. The inside label reads "Golden Eagle" and there's a loop on the back of the neck that says "Tailored in the U.S.A." It seems similar in feel and construction to some Hickey Freeman items I've come across in the past. Its a very nice suit, to be honest. I was just wondering if anyone's ever heard of this brand, and if anyone would have any idea as to the period this suit may be from? Requisite pictures:
