Hello all,
I came across this line while wandering around on eBay . . . one seller states retail price $1000 and sells them for $399. I was wondering if anyone knew if this is a good price or if someone who actually owns a pair could comment on quality.
Regards,
Philo

Had mine for ~2 years and like them. The retail price listed is about correct.

Gold and Wood is a great glasses manufacturer. They use top quality horn in their horn frames and are of very high quality. I have a few frames and I really like them.

I have had a pair of Gold and Wood glasses for several years. Although FASHIONwise they are great, wearability wise, they are terrible. They crack at the screws that are drilled through the lenses...and I'm writing this review after about the 4th time of having them fixed. They JUST literally broke in half....at $1000 for the pair, I'm tired of paying to fix them.

I'm literally throwing them out.

Don't waste your money, they don't hold up.

Oh...I wear contacts 95% of my life...these are not everyday glasses...they couldn't handle the after 7pm use to read or
work on the computer!

I agree. The style is fantastic, but the quality is terrible. I never had glasses that caused me problems, but these drive me totally crazy. I went back to the shop more than 20 times and totally lost confidence.
They sent them back to the manufacturer several times and I got new ones, but now it no longer fits with my glass. This gives me headache and bad sight.

I throw them away too.

That is the rough price of them, sometimes even more. But they are expensive and the one bad thing is you can't adjust them, because of being made out of wood. So you really do have to find one that fits you perfectly.
