Today I was out thrifting and came across a Zegna Tie. On the tag it said 95% seta/ 5% Gold. I have never seen or heard of such a thing. Is this common or should I go back to the store and retrieve it.

There was a Brioni tie on B&S not too long ago that used gold.

In these times, gold is an important hedge against inflation that should be a part of any balanced portfolio.

it was black with like goldish stripes throughout. It was only $2 but it was not my style and had like a couple green stains (probably could come out with after laundered). The zegna tag was also something i have never seen before, it said " Zegna M M"

You will have to consult your advisor, and nothing in my post should be construed as advice or predictions, etc.

I construed it as an offer to sell.

Uh-oh! Sounds like you've encountered the infamous "Fool's Gold" tie!
