Well the fact that they are real and not something out of the Argos catalogue already sets you well apart from the chav. Also the fact that they are cufflinks whereas the average chav wouldnt own a FC shirt (thats french cuff, not football club).

Likelyhood is that more fundamental things like your suit, shirt, shoes will already distinguish you from being a chav before they see your links

I prob wouldnt wear, but only becuase they dont fit in with my aesthetic.

They are incredibly Chav. Rather like those watches made with a gold dollar face. However, you might impress some Essex Bimbette at Stringfellows.

Do you have the chav phenomenon in OZ?

I have a friend who is the quintessential public (meaning private) boarding school boy, Oxford grad, came from a good upper middle class family. He wears a sovereign ring, but no-one would ever mistake him for a chav.

One or two details wont brand you if you are not leading the whole lifestyle

Essex Bimbettes can be fun. Just dont take them home to mom. Or out in public.

I think i would pass on them.

At a jewelry store in Philly i found a set of really heavy 14k cufflinks with a polished black onyx face, they really looked nice but were a bit more understated.

No they are basically an English version of valley girls. A bit coarser perhaps.
