Going to Paris: Are Maison Margiela Replica Sneakers worth it?

I'll be going to paris next month and wondering if it's worth buying Maison Margiela Replica Sneakers? will i save more by buying from paris or will i be able to find equivalent sale prices here in the US?

The RRP of those sneakers in EU are 480 EUR which is approx 515USD right now. You can buy tax-free as tourist so should be 480*0.8 = 384 EUR excl VAT, which is approx 415 USD.

US RRP is 540USD, so you can save 125USD or around 23%. In other words, if you manage to find discounts steeper than 23% in the US, it's better to buy local during sales.

I also don't know much about the different versions of this sneaker, but I see many cheaper (around 390EUR vs RRP 480) on Farfetch, only difference is the suede vs lambskin top lining it seems? but it's visually the same to me.

also what else do you guys recommend buying from Paris? Any local parisian brands i should be aware of?

Charvet, Pini Parma, Eric Bompard, Bonne Gueule, Septieme Largeur, Howards, Scavini, L'officine, Ardentis Clipei etc. are all local brands/boutiques worth a visit imo
