I'm going to Las Vegas for a bachelor party in the middle of August and I'm looking for some advice on what to wear. All of us are in our early twenties. Specifically, I'm concerned about three main situations: night clubs/bars, just looking around the strip and stuff during the day, and the pool. Should I bring a suit for the clubs or is that overdoing it? Also, what sort of footwear works best with shorts? I usually wear flip flops, but they're not very practical for walking. Thanks guys.

No suit, let alone in August where it'll be 110 degrees during the day and 102 at night.

Every douche bachelor party with 20 dudes trying to roll into the club will be wearing jeans, black shoes, and a stripey button down.

    Try to differentiate yourself.

+1 - it's standard douche-faire. Try to shy away from True Religions too while you're at it. I myself am a fan of the "blazer w/ denim" thing, but that's probably overdone a bit too.

Suit would probably be unnecessary, unless you have access to the $1,000-minimum tables.

Personally, something like Topsiders work well with shorts to just chill during the day.

It's been already been said, but do not wear a suit while you're here. You will be absolutely miserable. If you post your wardrobe, maybe people can make recommendations from that and save you some dollar bills.

I was there in April and it was already extremely hot then so I wouldn't recommend a suit, even for clubs. A few button downs and blazers should do it for the evening. And make sure you have comfortable walking shoes.

And as we've both learned, F+B doesn't cut it for the strip. Unless you bring blister pads. Lots of them.

Black jeans get you in pretty much anywhere, as far as I can remember - jut find some with a loose weave and you'll be A-OK at night.

I blame my lack of direction (stumbled from Treasure Island back to the Luxor at 5am), but yeah, F+B not Vegas approved.

Not sure if you already have some I think a seersucker/chambray button-up and linen trousers would work well, that's what I wear around LA nowadays.
For shoes I'd just get a good looking pair of Cole Haans or something cheap on eBay since you're probably going to trash them quick.

    I am going in August.

For the club I am debating between Madras, Oxford, or Chambray shirts with some light weight khakis. Worst comes to worst I will do denim. I've gotten in with common projects before.

For the day time, white tees, wife beaters and swim trunks. Maybe a Lebron James jersey. perhaps boat shoes or flip flops.

Yeah I'm also going (next week to be exact) and trying not to look like I'm part of team dude. The during the day stuff is easy but at night is where because of the heat I'm a little lost.
