I think that this came be done quite well. An excellent point was brought up that, as is almost always the case, fit is a determining factor in whether or not this look is successful. I've seen it done quite well and I've seen it done much more often quite poorly. Then again, I've seen tie wearing done rather poorly as well.

I do it, but only with an interesting, high quality shirt and a pocket square. Looks cool...
