wait, a top and a hat, or a top hat. I need to start rocking an old school top hat.

Really, when I see the word "classy", the Monopoly dude is the only thing I think about.

I'd go for:

- Nicely cut jeans
- Tan Loafers (the driver kind)
- Plain white shirt
- Gray plaided jacket in wool

Top it off with a nice belt and watch and your all good, mate!

To give you an example,. last night I went on one of my basically biannual clubbing nights for a friend's birthday. Here's what I wore:

-50% Mohair/50% wool blend black Isaia "Stewart A." body (just looked at the tag to confirm) sportcoat with thin lapels rolling to the middle button and double vents. I left the cuffs unbuttoned, because such environments beg for a little bit of tackiness

-Sky-blue-with-white-edges linen pocket square

-Paul Smith signature stripe pattern single-cuff shirt with Paul Smith Austin Mini cufflinks, tucked in (something that comes out of my closet very rarely)

-Black suede belt

-Nudie Bootcut Olas in their dirty dark wash

-cheap Charles Tyrwhitt black ankle boots, just so none of my good shoes get harmed

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
