One of the best looking of today's Rolex. Although a strictly speaking a 'tool' watch and hence casual, it works well with a suit IMO. Probably not for dressier evening wear (although of course very similar to the Submariner as worn by James Bond in his tux).

They're a nice looking watch, especially the dial which has the larger hour markers. I'd also consider the LV sub as well. Classy with a little flash to it.

wearing mine today. Ive owned probably 25 or so luxury watches....one time having about 12 at the same time. My rolex GMT IIc seemed to always get the most wear.

Anyone who says Rolex quality is just "marketing hype" probably hasnt owned one. Like them or not, its impossible to deny the quality and classic design. I say go for it, you wont be disappointed.

+1.............most people who criticize are not players themselves. It's easy to cheer from the sidelines, but few have the balls to join the game

it's probably the best looking rolex in the current lineup, but i wouldnt wear one with a suit. too much of a tool watch.

It works well with suits and is my everyday watch. It is a bit thicker than I like, but is a solid watch. I just make sure to order all my dress shirts with the wrist width a little wider on that side.

I never liked the IIc myself, the super case is too chunky looking, the ceramic bezel and polished center links are too shiny and the new clasp seems gimmicky. I like the look/feel of the classic Rolex professional models. The light and slightly shaky bracelets were part of the charm to me. I wear an Explorer II, which I think is more subtle in terms of style and size, but still has the second timezone.
