Hi Guys,

I haven't posted in a while. Does anyone know of a good Gloverall cache in New York City or at least a place that carries it. Apparently, Barney's does:

That coat agrees with me but not my wallet. Feel free to offer alternatives. I'm looking to spend 200-300 dollars but could swing it another 100 (Gloverall tends to run 400+). Thanks!

Oh interesting, thanks! Wouldn't be surprised if they carried it, since they've carried other nice things like Alden shoes. Regarding the coat shown in the link, a few British shops offer it in Navy (which I prefer) for more than 200 less. Still sorting out the charges I would incur, but having it shipped abroad.

Perhaps...what do you have to offer? And J.Press has a small stash of Alden. But, if you're on Madison Avenue, I don't know why you'd cop some Aldens there when the actual Alden NYC store is a few doors down.

The online store CHCM is based in Brooklyn and they stock several Gloverall pieces. Though the store is online only, they run pop up shops occasionally, which are well worth checking out. The proprietor is a fantastic gent; if you email him and ask nicely he may let you go and see some stock in person: http://www.chcmshop.com/brands.php?id=8

Yeah, he has the coat I'm eyeing...except it 200+ dollars more than Europe...I'm assuming, even after custom charges and such, that I'd still save money if I bought it across the pond

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
