Glove care/storage

This past winter I purchased a new pair of deerskin gloves.... now that the warm spring weather is arriving it's time to store them until the Fall. This leads me to a couple of questions:

(1) what is the best way to store leather gloves during the summer?
and
(2) is there any routine maintenance/care I should be doing w/ the gloves (similar to polishing shoes, etc.)?

I put some renovateur on them and stuffed them in the pockets of one of my coats.

I conditioned mine with Bick4, then wrapped them in a silk cloth and placed them in a box.

Store them like you bought them.

Most nice leather gloves that I own came equipped with a box of some fashion, I usually fold them with a bit of tissue paper and place them back in said box.

If you can find some a strip of cedar placed in there makes a good moisture manager.

I use conditioner on all my gloves (except suede) and after a few days they get boxed together. Mr Monty, No need for moth balls for leather gloves as far as I am aware. If there is some species of moth that eats leather, I would be very suprised if it exists in this century. BIG CAUTIONARY NOTE: If your gloves (like most of mine) have a cashmere lining, presume that they will be high-priority moth targets. I took out my favorite pair of chestnut gloves this past season to find them RIDDLED with moth holes!!! This year all of my gloves as well as all of my most expensive winter items will be off to cold storage.

I have a pair of black leather cashmere gloves. Can I just keep them in the open in the shade? I can check on them daily during the summer months.
