Give me excuses to keep this suit

I bought this suit on an impulse, but now, I'm not sure if I can rock it or not. Fit is not an issue, it fits me well, though I haven't altered it yet. While I think it's gorgeous, I admit it's a bit on the loud side, so I'm not sure for what occasions it could be appropriate. (The lighting is a bit uneven, most realistic colour reproduction around the gorge/shoulder area, at least on my monitor) I'm eagerly awaiting your input. If unconvinced, I will return it to the store. Thanks Redwoood

Nothing wrong with it...

Lovely colour and the stripes are still classic.

If it fits well ,keep it.

You think this suit is loud??

Really?

If that's so, then I'd hate to see what you think is tame.

That is a beautiful clasic suit that can serve you well for years. Wear it to weddings and evenings out and whatever.

I do not find it loud at all - would wear it for everyday business purposes - light blue shirt and dark blue tie - here we go...

I honestly don't think it's that loud to be honest, but it all depends on your point of reference of course. if you believe the suit is loud, just start off by pairing it with a crips white shirt and a (dark) blue tie or some other combination that brings down the loudness a little bit.

Loud????

That is practically CBD. Nobody is going to bat an eyelash at that.

If you want loud, I will show you loud.

Depends on a few things:

- Maker
- How much you paid
- Your work and social environment, where and when you plan on wearing it
- Have you got a similar suit already
- etc

To clarify, 'loud' is in comparison to the suits I usually wear. I don't wear suits every day, but when I do, I usually stick with conservative staples, e.g., plain navy and charcoal.
It's a Samuelsohn.

Thanks guys, please keep'em coming.

If you are having to ask the question, then you should get rid of the suit. You'll never be comfortable wearing it. You must feel comfortable.

Assuming you got it at a good price, I say keep it as your 'statement' suit.

Wear it with plain shirts (white or light blue) and ties (solid colour.)

The real question is your coloring - hair, eyes, skin tone, etc. That suit would look bad on me and most other blond, blue eyed, northern pasty-white-pale-skinned types, but it would look great on others.

If you're worried, tone it down with black shoes, a white shirt and a dark navy tie.
