If anyone spots dragonfly print in the wild PM me!
Down anyone know if the Fall/Winter 2011 Blue Chambray shirts fit a little bigger than usual for the new season? I that the Japanese had this problem.
Olive looks especially dope.
Has anyone tried darting the back of the shirts to make them fit a bit slimmer instead of it bellowing it out?
As an alternative, I usually have my tailor extend the box pleat all the way to the hem, to get rid of the *poof* / billowing. It's like what you would typically see right in the middle of the back of a BoO shirt.
I've had a chambray darted, which ended up nice also, but it involved completely removing the box pleat, which ends up being more work (and more $) for the tailor.
Is there a difference in quality of gitman bros vs. gitman bros vintage, or is the prints on the shirt the only difference? I picked up a gitman bros shirt at saks and the fit is great.
The vintage line has only been around for a few years. It has a completely different cut / fit.
Any chance you could post a picture of either of these worn? Wouldn't mind seeing how the end results look.
not trying to derail the thread but does anyone know what Levis those are the model from TBS is wearing above? Thanks.
Email TBS. They are great dudes and will know.
Don't resist, that one will definitely sell out and not make it to sales. Then you'll regret it.
Someone find me this new tattersall....
Sure, he's a fit of the shadow dot.
Here's the back of a shirt, showing the box pleat going down to the hem.
^ Is the stitching visible? I can't really tell, and I'm going to the tailor myself tomorrow to have this exact alteration done.
Also, would it be possible to have some extra fabric around the hem removed/stitched to remove the bell-bottom, where the Gitman shirts widens again?
^Yes. The bell bottom is caused by the heavy waist suppression that Gitman shirts have (BoO does too). Just make sure the tailor doesn't make the hem too small or else it will pull and look bad. Should still have some room down there for when you sit.
