Normal Gitman Bros isn't bad, still a quality shirt though fit would vary depending on what retailer chose. Have a few Gitman shirts in fabrics I missed from Vintage line, some fit even better as there isn't the billowy back

Still a nautical one here in a few sizes:

Make sure to use a dealflyer coupon, I got this one when the 50% off applied

I have a quick question. If I fit a medium in scotch and soda shirts (although it is VERY fitted) and fit the slim fit hugo boss, medium in 7 diamonds, Would a medium in vintage fit me?

Wish they would use the smaller collar on all their shirts. :/

I suspect it is what a store chooses to order. Stores like OC only have small collars (from what I can see, I could be wrong) but stores like Need Supply carries only 3" collar shirts season after season. I myself prefer the 3" collars.

i know 14.5" typically equates to small (and 15.5" medium), but does anywhere (besides union) carry shirts in 15.0"? trying to avoid MtO..

Any particular reason you prefer the 3"?

I don't think I own any GBV shirts with the smaller collar. I normally wear a size small and I think the collars look big on my neck/head. I still wear them and it's one of my favorite shirting brands nonetheless.

I think I like how the 3" collar wears because I feel it is more proportionate to my height (6'0) and my body frame which is pretty slim. My sister's boyfriend who is approx. 5'9 - 5'10 who is pretty buff wears a small collar and it looks really good on him. I guess it really boils down to what fits you.

I also like the 3" because it creates volume around my neck area. Maybe because I live in a tropical country and I unbutton the first button below the neck button. With the shirt opening at the top (because it is unbuttoned), the collars holds the shirt in place and does not make the shirt look sloppy.

I have been wearing GV ever since I got my first shirt from them and the shirt you're selling (NSFW) is fire !

Have you tried on a Gitman Vintage before ?

Thanks! I'm always debating keeping it or not. My minimalism makes me inclined to sell it since it's not going to get too much wear but I love the pattern. I sometimes wrap gifts to friends with escort pages from the newspaper so it's very me haha.

Also, I'm 5' 8" myself which is probably why the collars look a little big on me.

The only place I have seen this is on Unionmade :(

I guess that choice of print is about being true to yourself ! Kudos ! I guess you could give the small collared GV's a try for your built !

I'll consider hitting you up with a offer for your GV in the future if it is still around. Bought a number of GV's lately and need to take it slow.

I wasn't aware Gitman offered different collar lengths. Could anyone else provide more information?

You can visit their website and go to the MTO section. They have a selection of collars.

I don't think they offer the shorter collar on their MTOs.

They do - they call them a Key collar. I got one with buttons when they did the The Hill-Side collaboration.

In retrospect, I should have stuck with the longer collar. The shorter collar doesn't feel right with the rest of the shirt's fit (on me. anyway).

I also have a short collar on a black Oxford which has a roomier fit than my Hill-Side one and it's highlighted more with that shirt. The shirt looks quite full throughout the body but then very short and neat around the neck. They don't match.

Sorry. That's a terrible description! This photo demonstrates what I mean pretty well. I still like the shirt a lot, but prefer the longer collar. But it's nice to have a bit of variety in the wardrobe so it's all good.
