Dude, why didn't you ask the guy whether he was going out with her? You said you knew him before. Maybe he is gay or something? Or, even better, asked her?
Also, if you're FB-friends and she behaves like most women do, she would most likely have posted something concerning her being in a relationship with that guy in the past two years.

Hmm...sounds like a job for this man.

(Cop wardrobe here).

I like Zach. Good series?

I know for a fact they dated for a while. I became friends with her recently on FB, and saw a couple of comments from a while ago making reference their relationship. Right now there are no photos of him in her profile and he hasn't been mentioned in a while. I'm pretty sure their relationship is over.

Whatever happened with this??? LOL

Haven't decided yet if I'm going to go ahead with the plan.

I think I might be able to meet her by coincidence without the use of a PI.

PM on Facebook asking her to go out on a date but this time requesting the "special concession" of her not bringing an extra guy...make it sound funny and if she does not reply, then she is not interested...save your money and time.

Meh. That's exactly what I'm trying to avoid.

I hope you realize how incredibly disrespectful or at least shockingly thoughtless it was of her to meet you when she already had a guy, with her.

Good point there.

To the OP: This situation seems to be causing you a fair amount of angst. If I were you, I'd just cut and look for someone else. Granted I only skimmed most of the posts, but you don't seem to know her well at all, and there is always a good possibility that once you *do* get to know her, a lot of the glamour will wear off.

Save your sanity, but if you *really* want to go after her, just make a point of being around the places you've seen her, and nonchalantly strike up a conversation. People are creatures of habit, and they tend to go to the same places all the time. No PIs, no going through third parties. Just you.

A little late on this, but Bored to Death is pretty solid if you're looking for a Galifianakis fix. He plays the standard wacky best friend. All in all, I wouldn't rank the writing up there with HBO's best shows, but its pretty standard TV-brand quirkiness is enhanced by great performances. Plus, it goes well with Curb Your Enthusiasm.
