Gilt's Calvin Klein Collection Suit

I'm not impressed. It's a dark charcoal twill - hell the newer line of BR suits have better material and better construction than the CK Collection Suit and it's made in Czech republic. CK sure have fallen hard. I'd have thought the collection would be better.

In addition, I received my Dior denim today - I don't understand the hype. NF and Unbranded Brand have thicker better denim and it's better constructed. I'm returning that **** to get the NF Momotaro jeans.

One word: Gilt.

I had credit there for almost half a year. Couldn't find anything worthy of buying. Ended up with some wine glasses that I later saw in TJ Maxx for half the Gilt's price.

I would argue CK were never good in the first place. Womans collections might be better, but their menswear sure as hell sucks.

I saw some CK Suite Seperates at Macy's, though I didn't have time to check them out. I was thinking about heading back to check them out. What makes them suck?

Oh ****, the Macy's brand are even worse. I have the CK Collection - it's suppose to be the higher end line which retails over a $1K. Everything about it sucks.. material, construction - however if it fits you well and you can get it for $100 then go for it.

I should have bought the Hickey from Gilt. At least Hickey is somewhat decent.

Nicely fitting and CKs with good appeal are hard to find. At least I rarely see anything from this brand that I like. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places.

What is up with GIlt lately? Seems like they are having trouble sourcing half of th edecent stuff they used to have.

Before the economy went to hell, business was good, designers made a buncha stuff, retail stores bought it up etc tried to sell as much as they could, then would filter it down to outlets, or sell in bulk to gilt and other websites. When the economy went down the first thing everyone did was cut inventory, and also went back to the basics. Basics they carry year round anyhow, your white and blue shirts, navy and grey suits etc. and there's little left over for sites like gilt to buy up

Cheap materials, fused construction, poorly cut, needs a lot of work. All that and you still have to spend $300 and over. Seriously, even Joseph A Bank makes a better suit and often it is cheaper than CK. I would actually purchase a Target suit over CK - at least Target price their suits under $100 and I doubt Target are any worse than CK.
