Usually the threads here are all about buying for yourself...

So how about a gift giving thread in advance of Christmas to show things you think are good gifts or solicit advice?

For example, I need to find a crazy warm sweater for my nanny who is always freezing - want something at least as warm as an SNS Herning Stark if not more so... Any suggestions?

It is a good idea to buy a warm sweater as a gift for Christmas.

So is there a female equivalent of SNS? I don't want something like an Inis Meian or Inervallen which are just too old-school...

For the wife - Canon T4i

Okay, let me be more specific - is there anything similar to SNS that is just as heavy knit as the men's stuff? The women's stuff seems to be lighter weight.

Any recommendations for ladies jewelry? Looking for stuff around $100-$200, well designed, reasonably well made (i.e. not costume jewelry) but also not precious, thousands of dollars stuff.

    Gift buying is hard.
