The chelsea looks odd to me. The buckshot effect makes sense as a visual pun on typical broguing. But I don't expect to see broguing on a plaintoe chelsea, so the holes look like something's wrong with the boot. Almost like moth holes.

I think its nothing to do with the broguing its merely just buckshot ie a shot in the foot so i suppose it can be shot on any type of shoe. I do agree with you though it does look better on the brogue rather than the plain boot as a visual effect to my eye anyways.

Where the brogue looked like abstract brogueing the Chelsea looks like you just shot yourself in the foot which is slightly less artistic. Horses for courses I suppose.
