I jumped to C21 today to stock up on underwear and socks, and found the jacket in the pictures, for $89 down from $249. It's a navy herringbone coarse weave, 95% wool, 5% cashmere, double vents. It must have been handed rather roughly, because the sleeves peeled badly. I had a go at it with a razor blade and now it's in much better shape. What do you think?

Of course it isn't, and I wouldn't have paid 'full' discount price, but, as you said, at $89, it's a good find. Just for comparison, Sierra Trading regularly offers similar Gian Luca jackets for $250-300 I believe.

I'm having a hard time determining whether it is fused or not. I know GLN is supposed to be fused, but in the pinch test, the sleeve and chest areas feel the same thickness. So either the fusing is really thin, or else it is canvas.

They're fused, but it is pretty thin fusing. There were some summer silk Corneliani sport coats in sizes 40 and 42 for under $150, too.
