Hi everyone - I'm hoping you can help me understand some things about the following Gianfranco Ferre suit I was thinking about buying:

1. Real or Fake
2. Canvas, 1/2 canvas, or fused
3. General quality

If these pictures aren't enough (and I realize they might not be), I can try to get more. Thanks in advance!!!

1) No clue. Where are the tags on this? Is it used?
2) Fused
3) No idea, but in general GFF isn't high quality stuff. I'm guessing it's about average for a fused garment, which means it's pretty basic quality for a suit overall.

If you pick it up brand new for under $200 it may be a decent buy, assuming you don't expect it to last forever and it really fits you well, otherwise keep looking.

Can't tell, not an expert in this, I wouldn't say all Gianfranco Ferre's suit are average though, they do have some very nice ones.

P.S., whatever happen to the store they had in NYC, do they plan to relaunch some time, can't find their men's stuff even in department store.

Looks authentic to me but its not a very good quality suit, about the same as a Mani or BOSS.

pretty much run of the mill disposable suit.
If it fits you well and you like how it looks on you, it doesnt matter, if you are happy that is all that matters.

1. Real but old:
Looks like the old Ferre jeans line, which hasn't existed for years and was the second or third line down in the Ferre umbrella.
2. Fused.
In any case, it's definitely not mainline Ferre, which means that it's fused and not particularly anything to get excited about.
3. Low quality by SF standards.
Diffusion line suit made to compete with Mani, Versace V2, D&G, etc. Produced by Ittierre, I'd say, which also makes for lots of diffusion brands.

If it fit me like a glove, I'd pay no more than $100. It's the kind of suit you'd have found at Filene's or century 21 five or six years ago priced at $399.
