Getting the wrinkles out of a tweed jacket?

A tweed jacket --

A few wrinkles have formed in the back. Do I have to take it to the cleaners, or is there something that I can do about it here? Should I avoid the iron at all costs?

Thanks

Try hanging it up in bathroom while you take a shower. The steam from the shower should pull out a lot of the wrinkles. You really want to avoid dry cleaning as much as possible, and probably shouldn't iron your jackets at all.

I'll try that. Do you mean avoid ironing tweed jackets? I have sometimes pushed wrinkles out of the back of my cotton jacket using an iron and haven't seen any damage yet...

I use my iron to apply steam to the wrinkles. It works well.
