Hey guys, chanced upon this forum while trawling the web for advice on some basics.

As I'm of a funny size (plump) it has been difficult to find work / dress shirts & pants, so I'm finally taking the plunge to have them tailor made. My question is, for a first timer going to the tailors for shirts and pants, what do I really need to look out for? Is there anything that I should emphasize to my tailor?

I hope that by tapping into the collective experience and intelligence of the forum, I may potentially avoid making most if not all of the mistakes that first timers make.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Wear your best fitting shirt and your best fitting pair of pants to the tailor. Tell him what you like and don't like about the fit of each.

Hi there, as for Hiras Fashion, we do suggest our clients to bring along or wear their best fitting shirts on their appointment day. This way, the fitter will have a better grasp of their fit and the style they need for the dress shirt.
