A good friend of mine has some pretty decent ideas for t-shirt graphics. Any suggestions on where/how he can get them printed up? I'm pretty sure he plans to sell them so the most economical option would be best. Also, does anyone have any experience setting something like this up?

Try Google. You would have gotten thousands of results in seconds.

I'm somewhat familiar with Google.
I guess I was hoping for first-hand experience/advice that I could relay.

I do tees, but nobody feels inclined to give anybody else his/her factory...search for printing factories or something of the sort

What's the rational behind that?
Is it that competitive an industry?

LOL. Anyways, I've used www.yque.com with some success, but I am hoping to find another printer who can print in water based inks. How many tshirts is your friend want to print? Also, I've heard good things about www.jakprints.com, but never used them myself.

Thanks.
I just forwarded this thread to my friend.
I have no idea how many shirts he's planning but his ideas seemed solid.
I'm sure every aspiring t-shirt designer feels the same way though. . .

The absolute cheapest shirts are al-style apparel (AAA). They're dirt cheap. Supreme uses them but I won't mess with them because I don't like their hand. Also a really inexpensive but quality screen-printer that I don't use anymore is Great Atlantic Outfitters. They are in FL so shipping is expensive for me now that I have somewhat larger quantities. If I lived in FL I would use them for sure.

I've used www.customink.com and the shirts turned out great. Best of all, there's a large selection of t-shirts to choose from and the print quality is amazing.

There's probably a screen printer in your neighborhood. Come up with a print-ready design and order 24 pieces of them. They'll charge you a setup fee and a printing charge per shirt. They usually have accounts with several blank suppliers (Murina, FTL, AA, etc) and you can choose which blank you like the best.

Boom - you're in business!
