Does anybody know if a cobbler than resole any shoe, or only certain soled shoes? I have these Ben Sherman lace-ups that I love but I almost have a hole in the soles. They are a weird shaped shoe too, I don't know if a cobbler would be able to match the shape with any old sole. Anybody have experience with this?

same question. I would like to get a pair of boots resoled whose sole is not the size and shape of I guess a conventional boot. I have taken them to a few cobblers around here with no real progress. Anyone ever have this done, and where? I really love these boots and would be willing to ship them somewhere if need be.

If they are leather-soled shoes, a cobbler should be able to do it for you. Omaha has a really, really good cobbler in town that I take all my leather-soled laceups to...

I have to go see him in a week or two. If you want, you could send them to me and I could bring them in and see what he can do with them. Just reimburse me for return shipping...

I live in place with a lot of western wear places, which usually have good cheap cobblers.

But I also have a friend who repaired his own shoes with several layers of epoxy and part of a bike tire. it ended up working, so maybe you could try it if you aren't able to find a cobler.
