Hello all,

This is my first time posting at this site, so nice to meet you all.

I have been wanting to get a new suit, preferably a slim-fit, and some nice shirts for quite some time. I currently have a Z Zegna, 3 Hugo Boss, and a Theory suit. I would like something nice and fits me well, but don't want to drop two grand for Harry-Rosen tailored suit.

Is there any tailors that have excellent product quality, but at an affordable price in Vancouver? Or is there another option other than Harry Rosen in Vancouver that provides great quality.

Thank you! Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Cheers,
Andy

If only someone had started a thread with a lot of information on this sort of thing... well I would probably have to search to find it, wouldn't I?

To sum up the thread, there are a couple of tailors that SF members like, the most popular of which is Oakridge Tailors; their bespoke suiting will run you $2000. Outside of bespoke, you can get Samuelsohn MTM starting at $1100 from a number of retailers including Harry Rosen, though pricing and service may vary. As far as I can see, these are your best options. You can also check out Brooks Brothers downtown if you want solid quality, but you should be aware that it is a bit more expensive in Canada than the USA. If you are looking for a lower cost option, you can go to one of the "mall brands" which are heartily derided on SF, or wait for Nordstrom to open at Pacific Centre mall.

That is about all the advice I can think of, please post any findings of your own, that we may all profit from the knowledge.
