Vintage German Leather Trench Coat, Overcoat, Motorcycle Coat. This coat is a nice dark seal brown and is in excellent vintage condition. This coat was made in Germany in the 1950s or 1960s, but the style was popular from the 1920s or 30s to the 1970s. These are very hard to find outside of Germany.
This is a very heavy coat with thick quality leather. It's horsehide or cowhide. Please see the last photo for an idea of what this kind of coat looks like when worn (this last photo shows the same model of coat as the one for sale, but a much smaller size being worn).
There is a label that reads 27, which, according the German sizes listed on the internet, appears to be a short XL, or equivalent to a size 46 chest US, although the chest is adjustable with the belt (can be loosened for larger fit or made tighter for a size smaller).
Measurements:
Shoulder to shoulder: 51cm / 20 inches
Chest, armpit to armpit: (depends on how tightly you adjust the waist belt) around 64.5cm / 25 inches
Length from top of collar to hem: 116cm / 45 inches
