I was browsing a really nice vintage clothes shop near me and there was a Dior trench coat for £60. It's quite similar to one's appearing on eBay. The lining has CD's all over it. Is it likely to be a fake or genuine but just really old? It was rather nice. Opinions? Tom.

It's not fake. Dior was heavily licenced out in the late 70's through the early 90's. I understand there were many manufacturers so the quality varies, but I have seen CD suits at thrift stores that were made in France or the US and the quality is decent, as are the fabrics and cut.

So, it really depends on the exact item, but I would say with high certainty that it's simply a licenced piece with varying quality. It's definitely not Dior Homme, but the quality and fit may be quite good.
