Thanks to @RogerP for encouraging me to rummage through my closet this morning. Too bad I can't do them justice like his photos do.

Skoaktiebolaget shows a brown museum calf oxford, but it seems like sharing same source with Meermin. May get interested if they can buy navy museum.

    BTW, good news is...

^ what is Carmina even trying to say? The "No, MTOs are accepted on Cordovan leather" could mean a few different things. I don't see any reason for optimism there.

Quote:I was speaking with a Carmina retailer last week and I was given to understand that at present, Carmina simply isn't accepting shell orders of any kind from their retailers or anybody else. So if I understood that correctly, MTO, GMTO would make no difference. What retailers have in stock at present (which includes orders previously accepted but not yet delivered) and whatever Carmina makes available directly through their web site will define the available shell options going forward until they say otherwise.

So you are saying instead of "No, MTOs are accepted..." this should read "No MTOs are accepted..." What a difference a tiny fraction of an inch can make...

I really don't know what they mean -- I think there may be some language issues at play. It is confusing and - based on the recent announcements - I'd put very little stock in an ambiguous, grammatically dubious IG remark. I doubt the shell shortage, so recently announced, has miraculously ended. If it did, I doubt we'd all learn of it on IG before the retailers knew. I could be wrong tho...

Burgundy 80092 bal boot on Robert. Maybe black grain shaft and burgundy museum upper.

Good news indeed for those waiting on the cognac shell 973s!

Do you happen to know if Carmina have any more models with the kind of stitching it uses with model #80267 ?
More in the lines with G&G Gable (preferably with a straight cap, and unlike #80267 without the seam on the sides)?

Would love to do something with that kind of stitching on the Rain last using brown museum calf if there's enough interest. It would even make me drop my initial suggestion of a single monk for now.

I was hesitant when the burgundy museum calf was almost black but with that new stock I think it's essential that we move forward with a GMTO of model 10080 using it. That shoe will be killer!
