Thanks guys! How tall is the shaft on a jumper boot? I'm going between this MTO, the AE shell Eagle County MTO and getting a C&J snowdon/Islay. The C&J boots are much more expensive, I could get the shell boots for $650 and the Snowdon is about $800. Not sure if the price of the carmina order yet, but I love Steve and have grown quite attached to carmina as a manufacturer (great value for money in my opinion)

Carmina dominates AE and C&J as far as price/quality ratio goes IMO. PM steve for the MTO pricing, I think you'll be pleased.

The question is how much cheaper. If it's only $100 or so, then I'd probably go for the shell AE eagle County in brown cordovan. But I'd also probably prefer the cxl height, so it's all up in the air right now. I think I'm going to cross out the C&J options due to price.

It is best to contact Steve for the price, send him a message his member name is steveyoo1983

Thanks, but boots in general just don't suit me.  The restricted range of motion afforded to my feet, no matter how loose I lace them up, bothers me.

Like I said before, if everyone else wants leather sole for the shoe, I'm fine with it.  Will probably just get them topied at some point in time.

IF I can figure out my Rain size soon AND the sole remains Danite -- I'm in for the shoe.

Sorry -- I know that is a lot of variables.

I know you have a few carminas :). Can you do us a solid and measure the outsole of an oscar lasted shoe and a rain lasted shoe in the same size? I heard the oscar last was a little shorter than the rain last but wanted real life data. Trying to nail down my oscar size before this cxl boot closes

We have a handful of people interested (me, justinkapur, Burton, Todd V, you?), but no firm commits yet. Still trying to figure out the sole -- some people want leather, some people want Dainite. I'm personally ok with either.

yes, at MSRP I agree. But the AE GMTO is priced at $295 and IMHO if the Carmina jumper is at $500+, I wouldn't dare say AE is 40% less in quality than Carmina.

Full disclosure: I'm in on the AE GMTO, and mainly the one who started it :)

Dainite is my preference but if for some reason its going to break up this MTO i will go with the majority of the group and have the soles topied

Picked these up from Steve a bit ago (not the best pic). Love the shoes and Steve's customer service (as always) was fantastic.

Would you mind grabbing another pic outdoors when wearing them? I'm very tempted by the split-toe but slightly hesitant about the color...
